Student Success and Program Coordinator in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion

This is a part time role at 25/hours a week.

This position works 10 months/year with the summers off.

The Student Success Program Coordinator in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) works in collaboration with the Associate Director of ODI to deliver student-centered services, provide leadership and guidance to students, and model inclusiveness and collaboration. The individual in this position must effectively plan, coordinate, and implement academic and social support initiatives for students, with a strong focus on Champlain’s underrepresented groups. This person will be a collaborator, working with campus partners and students to develop and implement programming that celebrates diversity, and advances social justice values.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • D evelops and oversees the implementation of community-building, awareness-raising, mentorship, orientation, graduation, and identity development programs for respective affinity communities/areas of oversight while focusing on intersections of identities and developing connections.
  • M anages special projects as assigned by Associate Director including, but not limited to, programs specifically for men of color.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises work study student staff. Manages work tasks and schedule coordination for student staff.
  • Supports the Associate Director in management of program budgets, reports, office records, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Connects and refers students to the appropriate campus resources.
  • Maintains marketing and communications efforts on behalf of the ODI.

Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience is required.
