SuperintendentQUALIFICATIONS: *Attend/Participate in H/SS/C Curriculum Alignment and PD (May 15, 23, June 7 +/or June 27, 28, 2019. June 19 & 20 FHS Only*Current FPS H/SS/C Teacher, certified in the appropriate content area*Knowledge of MA DESE H/SS/C Curriculum Frameworks(pre k-HS)*Knowledge of components of Standards-based Education System*Working knowledge of Fitchburg Public Schools Curriculum Alignment system, protocols*Working knowledge of Civics Action Project components (as per recently passed 2018 Mass law)*Working knowledge of UbD unit/lesson template and formative, summative and curriculum-embedded assessment aligned to the standards*Expertise with digital/electronic document creation, posting, etc in Google*Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete project*Citizenship, residency or work visa in United States requiredThe responsibilities and duties listed below are illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them for the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to the position.RESPONSIBILITIES: *Participate in/complete the development of a pilot standards-based FPS course of study/curriculum for appropriate grade level units and/or full-year Civics course*Post in Goggle docs to share with colleagues*Implement and participate in debriefing sessions re: the unit(s) and/or course; Debriefing will occur on school-based PLCs on team planning or PD sessions*Prepare for delivering and deliver introductory PD to colleagues in Fall 2019 post/share the presentation in Google for use by other staff at their schools to support coherence across the district*Collaborate with Central Office staff and co-create and analyze for planning instruction in 2019- 2020.*Other duties as neededStarting Date: ASAP FPS Request for Payment form will need to be completed at the conclusion for payment of stipend.
