According to the Child Care Licensing Regulations and Early Head Start potential employees must have a at least a CDA, a VT Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 1 or 2 certification, etc. (https://dcf.vermont.gov/sites/dcf/files/CDD/Docs/Licensing/CBCCPP_Regulations_FINAL.pdf. pg.91) Afternoon teachers work Monday through Friday from 12:30-5:30 (with the possibility of working more hours). This is an hourly position.
($13.50-$14.50)Afternoon teachers are responsible for: *Assist teachers with the implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum*Perform daily classroom duties along side classroom teachers*Pass information along to classroom teachers*Ensure safe and proper use of toys and equipment*Adhere to the BCS program philosophy*Assist in completing daily opening and closing duties outlined in classroom checklists*Share information with parents regarding childrens day professionally*Maintain health and safety of children as accordance to NAEYC, Early Head Start, and BCS standards. *Demonstrate knowledge of VT state licensing regulations, Early Head Start, NAEYC, and BCS policies and practices. The Burlington Childrens Space, housed in the McClure Multi-Generational Center, is a NAEYC accredited program offering early care and education for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Programming is based on influences from Reggio Emilia, Italy, the interests and curiosities of the children, and the unique culture and resources of our local community.
