This position offers you the unique opportunity to truly impact not only the youth and families we work with, but to also lead, grow, and develop our motivated Permanency Team. This is a great opportunity to lead by example, in both a leadership and constituent capacity setting the bar with some of your time dedicated to Permanency Specialist (PS) functions in conjunction with overarching leadership responsibilities.

Becket’s Clinical Services are intended to provide short term support and stabilization. As such, services provided by the Permanency Specialist (PS) and their teams should generally be focused on helping clients and their families identify and utilize long-term community supports and natural supports as well as agencies in the community. Within that framework, the Permanency Specialist (PS) role is to provide overall leadership on the case in terms of permanency and family and youth guided treatment. The Permanency Specialist (PS) is responsible for establishing clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions. The Permanency Specialist (PS) directs the activities of other team members (EG. Permanency Coaches) to ensure client and family interactions are goal oriented and clinically appropriate. The Permanency Specialist (PS) will provide case management and clinical (individual, family, group) support to children and their families. The Permanency Specialist (PS) will perform some or all of the following services: provide clinical support for individuals and their families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths and develop support networks that will help them overcome barriers; provide support, education and guidance to assist in developing structure, routines, effective parenting skills, positive communication, safety and behavioral plans, as well as hygiene plans. Other services provided are based on individual and family needs (i.e., nutrition and meal planning, household budgeting, etc.).

Representative Duties

- Provide clinical oversight and leadership to all assigned cases

- Complete tasks associated with client intake process

- Create and update treatment plans including student and caregiver treatment goals and activity formulation.

- Complete assessments when services begin, at discharge, and every 90 days while Becket services are in place using the CAFAS (NH students only)

- Provide individual and family therapy as indicated in the treatment plan

- Facilitate groups as needed in support of agency population needs

- Collaborate with DCF social workers, Family Networks referring agents and other case collaterals including therapists, guidance counselors, physicians, psychiatrists, probation officers and attorneys.

- Complete and submit weekly reports to DCF and Family Networks using established format.

- Complete progress notes in SOAP format using Kaliedacare for all client and collateral contact.

- Ensure proper filing of all documentation using established binder system protocol.

-Schedule and facilitate periodic review meetings with DCF and Family Networks, as required by contractual obligations.

- Prepare for periodic treatment review meetings by completing progress reports and updated treatment plans.

- Ensure all other contractual obligations are being met by treatment team (services, hours, documentation, etc.)

- Ensure regular communication regarding cases with other team members.

- Track and relay changes in service dates and levels to appropriate administrators.

- Attend supervision as requested by supervisor, at a minimum of weekly.

- Lead & support PC’s with case management

- Take the lead role in communication with Family & Referral Sources- critical incidents as well as pro social -behaviors.

- Adhere to crisis support procedures and communication protocol

- Participate in an on-call rotation providing emergency services for clients, according to established On Call procedures.

- Ensure team is supporting court appearances for students appropriately.

- Attend regular office meetings, including weekly faculty meetings and case reviews.

Job Requirements:

- Master's in social work (MSW), mental health counseling (MHC) preferred.

- Related fields also welcome: (LMFT, LICSW, LCSW, BCBA, LADC, etc.).

- Candidates with additional Therapy, Psychology, Counselor, and/or Mental Health licensures, certifications, and/or trainings are encouraged to apply.

- 2+ years experience preferred, but will train the right candidate

- Valid driver's license with insured transportation

- Position requires background check, driving, and other record checks
