Adjunct Instructor of Art in Elementary Education

• Hattiesburg, MississippiThis position instructs ARE 309/Art in Elementary Education for education majors not in the arts. ARE 309 is taught in a variety of formats and platforms, including online, face to face, during the regular semester and during the intersession.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach ARE 309/Art in Elementary Education
- Provide interim and final grades for enrolled students
- Be available to student through office hours (face to face or virtual)

Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA in Art or Art Education.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the role of art in elementary instruction. Knowledge of arts integration for K-12 instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to teach in online platform. Previous experience in teaching Art in Elementary Education. Ability to guide students through lesson planning while providing content knowledge in the visual arts.
