Summary

The Production Manager position combines the big-picture vision with the ability to focus on the important details to increase delivery on revenue needs. Areas of focus will include lean implementation coupled with manufacturing best practices, supply chain management and building solid relationships with suppliers, customers, and developing leaders out of subordinates. The Production Manager will lead multiple manufacturing segments with a hands-on responsibility to lead the production manufacturing operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the leadership of Purchasing, Production Control, Manufacturing, Shipping, Receiving, Scheduling, Safety, and IT (for Manufacturing Operations).
  • Prepare and manage facility equipment/tools/fixtures for production.
  • Manage and control MRP/ERP System.
  • Manage Inventory.
  • Establish personnel & group/individual accountabilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • 10 years aviation manufacturing management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or related experience.
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
  • Experience with continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing, production management, supply chain and quality assurance.
  • Team leadership skills/experience. Team performance optimization.
  • Customer relations experience.
  • Start-up production experience is preferable.
  • Must have good communications skills, highly self-motivated and self-directed.
  • An outcome-focused individual with the ability to wear many hats to meet deadlines.
