Are you looking for a fun and fulfilling job opportunity working with people with special needs?

FOCUS is looking for active, energetic and reliable Life Skills Instructors who would like to spend time with individuals experiencing developmental disabilities in their homes and out in the community. Life Skills Instructors assist individuals in living their lives as independently as possible with the highest quality of life. This could mean working on skills in the home, such as cooking, planning their week and self-care. Activities out in the community such as group meet ups, grocery shopping, going to gym or to the theater help to build social skills, confidence and experience in the unique culture Alaska has to offer.

The experience of being a part of one's community is one that every person should have the opportunity to have, regardless of ability. FOCUS provides exciting opportunities to grow, learn new skills, and make new friends!

FOCUS serves families in Anchorage, Eagle River, and the Valley. Must be at least 18 years, have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to be considered. Hours: part-time, based on family need.
