• Portsmouth, New HampshireSouthern New Hampshire University is currently seeking Admission Counselors for our Portsmouth, NH office . An Admission Counselor I is responsible for enrolling students into Undergraduate and Graduate degree programs at SNHU. Admission Counselors receive inquiries such as emails, live chats, and telephone calls through a variety of marketing channels and are responsible for assisting the student through the enrollment process, acting as a liaison to other campus departments and serving as the student’s advocate.
*There will be two weeks of training in Manchester, NH*
Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Conduct phone interviews with prospective students (Evaluates the prospective student’s needs, interests and qualifications while providing clear and concise information to help the prospective student make an informed decision on program offering, delivery mode, and school fit)
- Engagement will primarily consist of phone and email communication
- Present information regarding the school, program offerings, structure, accreditation, cost, etc. in an accurate and ethical manner
- Consistently achieve the expected goals and objectives including, but not limited to: Daily activity, Schedule Adherence, Ready Time, Call Outline Adherence, Call and Email Flow, Service and Support, Compliance, and Program Knowledge
- Professionally assist prospective students through the admission process in accordance with SNHU policies and procedures, and in compliance with all applicable regulations and accrediting standards
- Adhere to schedule to include ready time, follow up time, chat, etc
- Consistently operate within, and is measured with respect to, rapport building skills, call flow and pipeline management, interpersonal/communication, needs analysis/service and support, innovative thinking, planning and implementing
- Partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid, Enrollment Support Services and Advising to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student; Escalates issues as appropriate
- Uphold all SNHU policies, procedures, with integrity and ethics
- Commencement and/or commencement related activities may be required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Some college coursework must be completed, Associates Degree Preferred
- At least 1 year of relevant sales and/or customer service experience, preferably in relationship and/or consultative sales
Work Hours:
Tuesday – Friday; 11:30 am – 8:00 pm
Saturday; 9:30 am– 6:00 pm
Individuals must be able to work any schedule set within the above hours of operation (to include early, late, and weekend shifts).
Pay Rate: $16.82/hr
