Director

Job Description

At ASU’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) we believe that it is time to reconsider the one-teacher-one-classroom model, and start thinking about teams of educators with distributed expertise, working in concert to better meet the personalized, academic, and social-emotional needs of P-12 students and the communities in which they live. To prepare students for the future, we need an educator workforce that is team-based, has distributed expertise, and prioritizes personalization for both the student and the educator.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Educator Workforce Initiatives, the Director will collaborate with leaders across MLFTC to amplify the exciting work happening in K-12 partner schools that are already implementing, or just starting to launch, team-based models. This role will involve equal parts: (1) being on the ground at partner schools; (2) codifying the emerging team-based models and educator workforce innovations, including development of school resources; and (3) working to help connect and develop educators implementing these models.
