The Business Manager serves as the primary business administration and Human Resources support function for the branch. This includes ensuring the appropriate maintenance of files, records, and office equipment; responsibility for daily accounting/cash and human resources procedures, maintenance of branch office supplies, new hire and supervisor procedure orientations, and other efficient, effective office procedures, assist in marketing of YMCA programs and annual campaign . Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with all levels of management, and staff.

Hours: Monday- Friday 10am to 5pm

Essential Functions:

  • Entrepreneur, Leadership, Collaboration and Community Outreach
  • Strong writing skills, experience with social media and strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Develop and execute Branch messaging and marketing.
  • Assist with fundraising efforts through promotions and special events.
  • Read all memos, newsletters and reference manual updates and complies with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in regular staff meetings and trainings.
  • Supports and contributes to a safe, clean environment for staff and customers by implementing appropriate safety procedures and following YMCA guidelines.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Represent the YMCA in a mature and professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with members, staff, and others contacted in the course of the work.
