Starbright Early Learning Center in Everett is looking for motivated, creative, and energetic professionals to join our team. Full or part-time positions available, M-F. We emphasize creativity, self-discipline, and self-worth while working with children individually to help them identify their own unique strengths and and abilities. We are a private school and our teachers understand the importance of developmentally appropriate practice in order to provide an enriched environment and high quality education.

Applicants must be team player, flexible, and dependable. Our staff hold degrees in the field or in something similar. Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Have at least a high school degree or equivalent education
  • Have at least 1 year experience working with children
  • Submit to background check through MERIT
  • Be CPR/1st Aid, and bloodborne pathogen certified or obtain upon hire
  • Complete TB test
  • Obtain a food worker card through Snohomish County Health Department
  • Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a group of children
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
  • Read, write, and speak English at a level sufficient for successful job performance

Responsiblities, Duties, and Required Expectations

Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Ensure health and safety of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs
  • Be able to lift at least 40 lbs., and able to lift, kneel, bend, or squat
  • Engage with children in activities and play that are developmentally appropriate in order to stimulate development
  • Assist children with toileting/bathroom procedures as needed
  • Attend professional development training's and/or be available for school events that may be on nights or weekends
  • Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times
  • Assist Lead teacher in implementing curriculum and planning daily activities that are developmentally appropriate
  • Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe
  • Effectively communicate with parents and staff

Salary: $13.50 to $14.50 /month
