Job Responsibilities
In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the development, administration, and implementation of the knowledge base communication, training development and sales aids for Viasat Service, including technical, functional, management, and onboarding. The bulk of this role focuses on using your honed instructional designer tools to continuously enhance our Agent’s knowledge base and resources to include:

  • Coordinating with process and other internal subject matter experts to ensure documented processes are up-to-date, translating complex processes into simple, end-user-focused solutions.
  • Evaluate performance gaps in sales process, develop and deliver ongoing continuing education training for internal and external partners.
  • Communicating real time changes and business decisions.
  • Format, develop, write and communicate articles in an easy to read and follow format.
  • Creating, maintaining, and optimizing content on a global scale and helping define the content delivery strategy with media to support learning (e.g., visual aids for face-to-face, various multimedia for e-learning and online).
  • Anticipate agent needs and services and participate in the continuous evolution of the content management program.

A lesser but still important component of this role will involve training responsibilities to include:

  • Establishing vendor expectations on training programs, curriculum design and strategy.
  • Strong partnership and collaboration will be required to support the vendor in the implementation and measurement of training.
  • Training venues will include CBT, web, facilitator-led training and blended solutions.
  • You will design and implement training through partnerships with multiple Sales outsource vendors and establish a sharing of best practices in key areas between vendors and Viasat.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience within at least one of the following areas: sales process, sales training, quality and knowledge or education with a Sales and Call Center environment.
  • Firsthand experience performing sales in a commission based environment
  • Experience and strong PC skills and expertise in MS Office
  • Experience in developing and delivering sales training materials and communications that support the sale of company products/services
  • Experience in writing course designs, course materials, and similar educational materials.
  • Understanding of computer-based training program development and deployment, LMS, needs assessment, and instructional design
  • Have strong platform delivery skills to include classroom management and be proficient in adult learning methodologies
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% as needed
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Residence required
