Nurse Educator [Training & Development]

  • This position requires a RN to work under the supervision of the Training Program Administrator.
  • Responsible for assisting with assessing, planning and/or coordinating training sessions for an agency.
  • Performs end-to-end learning and development.
  • Evaluates training and learning outcomes in relation to functional and/or technical training activities.
  • Conducts all training activities related to area of expertise.
  • Develops standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation.
  • May assist with the development of standards and procedures to be used in project development and implementation.
  • May participate in policy, procedure, and processes development.
  • Oversees the development and on-going management of a variety of program areas.
  • Need to be able to go to the units to do Competency Evaluations of the skills taught in classroom.
  • May work on varied shifts and teach various training sessions.
  • Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
Vocational/Technical degree in a directly related area from an accredited college AND Two years of experience providing educational, training or instructional services to functional area OR High school diploma or GED AND Five years of area specific experience, One year of which in a lead/supervisory capacity.
Preferred Qualifications - External:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Human Resources Development, nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university OR Two years' experience in an academic/training environment developing, delivering, and evaluating programs
  • Experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating staff development programs or activities in the area of assignment.
  • Experience working with individuals who are have Developmental Disabilities and or Mental Health issue.
  • CPR certification
  • Safety Care Training
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience with audio-visual equipment
