Provide administrative and staffing support for the Director of the Center for Health Services Research. Communicate with and respond to requests from individuals within the College and across the University and UVM Medical Center/Health Network. Prepare materials, including institutional documents, in-office processes and procedures, personnel files and meeting materials. Assistant in coordinating calendars and schedules. Assist with human resources and office operations functions, under the oversight of the Director. Assist in implementing department faculty and staff recruitments, transactional processes, and on-boarding to ensure compliance with University and departmental objectives. Coordinate department retreats, brownbag lunches, research seminars, etc. Maintain department websites and online/social media presence. Assist in identifying opportunities to support publicity efforts for the department’s missions of research and education. First point of contact for the Center.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Associate’s degree and one to three years of related experience required. Working knowledge of software applications used to support office functions and familiarity with Internet resources required. Effective interpersonal communication skills required. Effective writing and organizational skills. Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications, database management and general social media applications required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse population required.

Desirable Qualifications

Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or the ability to obtain required.
Prior academic research support related experience highly desirable.
