The Clinical Training Manager manages the relationship with contract clinical trainers that train our end-users, partners with internal Sales Operations on user readiness for training, assists with training sales teammates, and develops and updates teammate and user training materials. This position is, at least initially, primarily focused on dental imaging scanner technology and products.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Serve as the primary interface between Dental and Professional Education: identifying training/education needs, helping set priorities, and coordinating Dental SMEs for content.
  • Maintain a network of approved 3rd party contract clinical trainers and schedule trainers as needed.
  • Ensure all trainers are provided with and using the latest released training materials and processes.
  • Coordinate training logistics, shipment of materials, equipment, literature and supplies as needed.
  • Administer any relevant CE programs including course evaluations, attendee certificates, course accreditation, and seek approval for new courses.
  • Recommend, design, and develop creative learning solutions that include, but are not limited to, classroom, eLearning, micro-learning, and blended learning solutions.
  • Work with clients, trainers, subject matter experts, and learners to specify training gaps, needs, and desired outcomes.
  • Analyze curriculum needs and incorporate the findings into continuous improvement of learning experiences.
  • Provide one-on-one advising sessions with trainers through video conferencing, email, collaborative documents, and face to face interactions.
  • Continuously oversee that any claims in developed materials and methods are fully substantiated and validated by internal or external experts.
  • Conduct process of periodical reviews, where the clinical thought leaders ensure that training materials are up to date, timely and relevant.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Education or similar.
  • 3-5 years experience in program/project management.
  • 3+ years experience in training, education, instructional design or curriculum development.
  • Experience in a medical device or dental company collaborating with medical professionals.

COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts, and quickly grasp range of complex business and clinical issues.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of fast paced change and ambiguity.
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated innovative critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts and team members, attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and accountability.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
