Founded in 1884, Central Christian College of Kansas (CCCK) offers a Christ-centered four-year college experience to a diverse

The College seeks an Instructor in its Education Department. The department offers majors in elementary education with a licensure
program for Physical Education. As an instructor in the department, this individual is responsible for organizing and facilitating
undergraduate education courses, supervising and facilitating advisees, overseeing the Professional Development school contracts,
and participating in faculty related assignments. Typical load includes 24 hours (Fall 12 & Spring 12), as well as committee
assignments, advising, and other administrative duties. Some load time could be given for other duties assigned that may include,
the licensure officer, field experience director, student checklist records, accreditation documents, licensure, departmental
communications (including the web), and coordinate speakers for courses or Education Club.

Salary is based on a combination of experience and credentials, with typical teaching salaries ranging from $30,000 - $35,000 for a
nine month contract. A generous complement of benefits is offered, including health insurance, retirement plan contributions and

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in education (doctorate preferred)
  • Record of excellence in teaching, creative and/or scholarly activity.
  • Teaching and classroom experience with an established record of administrative effectiveness including classroom

management, technology, administration and commitment to working with students, faculty, staff and external
constituencies.

  • Proficiency in Technology Integrated Teaching & Learning, Educational Assessment strategies, Elementary Science, & Math
method courses, Differentiated Learning, Literacy courses and Curriculum Development. Specific preference will be given to
the individual who can demonstrate a viable vision for the education program here at Central Christian College and has
proven success in the classroom.
