The Department of Nursing at the University of New England is looking for clinical instructors to facilitate experiential learning activities for junior and senior level pre-licensure nursing students in the following areas: Medical-Surgical, Maternity, Pediatrics, Rehabilitation, Mental Health and Community Health. Positions to start in Summer 2019, Fall 2019, and Spring 2020 semesters.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a minimum of BSN (MSN preferred) and should possess skills with the following areas:

  • At least 2 years of experience in setting
  • Identify appropriate patient assignments for student learners
  • Facilitate additional learning experiences within the environment
  • Report At–Risk students to educational unit in an effort to remediate early
  • Partner effectively with clinical partner staff for optimal learning and safe patient care
  • Regularly participate in on-campus trainings and student learning activities associated with clinical environment such as Simulation or Skills Lab
  • Adhere to clinical instructor standards identified by the Department of Nursing
