Summary
We are looking for qualified individuals to support a wide range of recreational programming and events at Fort Missoula Regional Park and throughout the Missoula community.

Must be comfortable facilitating recreation programs, operating computers, multi-media system, working and communicating with the public, assuring play and support areas are safe, clean, and sanitary, thinking critically, problem solving, and having fun!
Job Details

DEFINITION & EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
FMRP RPEF"s assure customer satisfaction and support overall success of programs and events. Requires the ability to interact positively as an effective member of a working team. RPEF"s ensure that facility operation is safe, clean, and in compliance with programs/activity/event guidelines.
RPEF"s plan for and support programs and events by communicating with other employees and customers, particularly those hosting events. Responsible that all recreation equipment and sites are in a safe and working condition and ready for use. Greets guests, players, and spectators. Provides leadership and direction necessary to hosting a successful event. Knowledge of various sports rules, tournament brackets, and details of event hosting is preferred, but can be learned. May provide initial first aid response. Documents incidents and provides reports. RPEF"s provide visual surveillance for safety and enjoyment of all users. The ability to prevent incidents and problem solve leads to successful programs and satisfied customers.
Examples of typical facility prep and ongoing support may include dragging and chalking softball fields, placing goals or painting lines on rectangular fields, sweeping or washing sport courts and pavilions/shelters, setting up staging, seating, dance floors, etc. for a variety of unique facilities and programs at FMRP.

RPEF"s will provide direct program services through Parks & Recreation, including program planning, scheduling of staff and volunteers, training, and direct program leadership.
RPEF"s assist other personnel when needed and performs other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Background and experience in a wide variety of recreation programs preferred. Must be a motivated, energetic, and mature individual comfortable communicating with all ages regarding a wide variety of activities. Looking for flexible individuals open to working in different capacities and learning all aspects of recreation programming. Background leading and/or facilitating activities and events preferred. Experience with field maintenance, recreation programs, and facility cleanliness preferred. Duties are performed in all weather conditions. Duties require substantial physical movement and may include lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. MT Driver"s License required. Must have or be able to obtain Child & Adult CPR certification and first aid before beginning work.
