JOB EXPLANATION:

The MBCI Leadership Exploration and Advancement Program (LEAP) gives MBCI associates the opportunity to develop into Leaders. The aim of this program is to recruit and develop highly skilled Leaders, both in the technical and management tracks. This employee development program takes participants through a variety of assignments that provide the exposure, challenge, and skills needed to build their career.

Participants will have multiple explorative assignments including Continuous Improvement, Quality, Finish, and Operational Leadership as well as extracurricular assignments including Safety, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Customer Service. The program will reinforce skills, with the expectation that the LEAP Specialist is prepared to become a Leader within MBCI upon completion of this program.


JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Candidates must exhibit strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to cross-train as needed to support rotation assignments.
  • MasterBrand Production System (MPS) Lean training participation and facilitation
  • Facilitate and lead Kaizen and CI projects
  • Identify, plan, lead, implement and follow-up on plant improvement activities
  • Able to work with and around moving equipment/machines
  • Communicate and work effectively with production personnel, management, engineering and outside vendors
  • Root cause analysis on quality/safety, and processes problems
  • Participate in safety incident investigations
  • Process report-out of metrics in production meetings
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime and off-shift

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Leadership and communication skills a must
  • Willingness to take on additional leadership responsibility within established timeframe
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Proficient knowledge of computers: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to use MPS tools
  • Ability to communicate and train effectively
  • Quality oriented
  • Must be willing to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Flexible in day to day task management
  • Attendance / Reliability
  • Demonstrates strong commitment to safety
