Location: Grafton, ND

Hiring Range: $3,899 - $5,198 per month

Work Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM, Mon-Fri; hours may vary to meet department needs


Summary of Work

Responsible for the direct supervision of Life Skills Trainer III’s/Activity Assistants in both the Day Program and residential settings. Focusing on developing, training and direct supervision of the implementation of sensory, health, wellness, recreation and leisure programs. This includes integration of those served into the community through assessment and analysis based on interests. Developing and following a communication network with co-workers, individuals served, family members and other agencies and the public so that we may maximize fiscal and human resources while pursuing appropriate options for individuals served. In cooperation with others in the department, assure vocational/therapeutic areas are delivering a quality product or service, which helps in the development of vocational skills, abilities, interests and goals of the individuals served .

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, physical education, health and wellness, exercise science, exercise physiology, communications disorders, human resource management (human service track) social work, psychology, counseling, developmental disabilities, special education, vocational rehabilitation, nursing, sociology, elementary education, child development and family science, and two years of directly related experience working with special population groups. Or a master’s degree in one of the fields listed above and one year of directly related professional experience working with special population groups.
