We have an opening for Associate Instructor, Cosmetology (Evening Program) at our Chattanooga State campus!

The role will be responsible for the following:

Perform specific duties related to instruction, course and curriculum development, professional grown, service to students, and service to the College and community.

In addition to teaching, the faculty member is expected to maintain an active business advisory committee, assist with recruitment of students into the program, assist program graduates with employment opportunities, complete the annual Council on Occupational Education (COE) report for the program, maintain an up-to-date program syllabi and curriculum, maintain technical skills and acquire new technical skills as the industry evolves, and assist with other Tennessee College of Applied Technology Division activities and responsibilities.

Service to College & Community: Assist in recruitment and selection of college personnel as assigned; participate in accreditation and assessment; support and participate in college/division/department committees, organizations and/or task forces to make recommendations in the College’s decision-making processes; provide input and/or assistance in preparation of semester schedule and budgets; attend convocation and TCAT commencement exercises and participate in College programs; develop and maintain positive and cooperative relationships with colleagues, strength relationships between the College and the Community through program advisory committees and/or community outreach activities.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma/GED and possess a current Tennessee Cosmetology Instructor's license and three years' of experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates degree and five years' experience.
