What will you be doing as a Service Worker Trainer?



Assist Service Crew Chief in the supervision of employees during shift. Fill in for the Crew Chief, Linen worker, or Service worker when absences or vacancies occur. Provide hands on training for new employees and train all employees on new procedures. Help with assignments and priorities, inspection of work, and making recommendations for improving performance. Perform specific cleaning tasks in assigned areas. These areas may include restrooms, resident rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, hallways, stairwells, lounges, elevators, etc. Tasks may include scrubbing, mopping, buffing floors, washing walls, dusting surfaces, removing trash, etc. Operate powered and non-powered equipment. Perform grounds keeping, set up for special events, and other duties as assigned.


Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three years of custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or service work.
  • Stable work or education history.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate and understand others.
  • Technical competencies in basic mathematics, ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, attention to detail, and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively.
  • Competencies for this position are work standards and productivity, communication, interpersonal and intercultural relations, decision-making, and dependability.
  • Additional competencies may include financial, coaching, delegation, and planning.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds.
