Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Migration Specialist for Online and Hybrid Learning. This position will transfer content from the three legacy learning management systems (LMS) at Rutgers (Blackboard, Moodle, and Sakai) to the new standard LMS Canvas.

    Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Transfers files, images, links, videos, and text-based content.
  • Ensures the new course site in Canvas has everything it previously had in the legacy systems.
  • Works closely with an Instructional Designer assigned to the project to identify any potential gaps in functionality.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the learning management systems (Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, Sakai) preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must be able to use Google Apps or spreadsheets for tracking.
  • Must be a fast learner and have attention to detail.
