The University of Saint Mary, a Catholic liberal arts university in Leavenworth, Kansas, invites applications for a faculty position in Counseling Psychology at its Overland Park campus. USM has experienced significant enrollment growth over the past few years, including the counseling psychology program, which offers Masters of Arts in Psychology, Master Arts in Counseling Psychology and School Counselor degrees.
Job Summary
Primary responsibilities for this faculty position include teaching, advising, program/curriculum continuing development, and data collection of the graduate counseling psychology program. Candidates should have the ability to teach both general psychology courses and a wide range of counseling psychology courses primarily at the graduate level. Faculty is expected to participate in university governance through committee work at the university and division levels. USM and the Social and Behavioral Sciences Division have close, collegial faculty dedicated to a teaching-learning relationship.
Education, Experience and Skills Required
A Ph.D. in either Counseling Psychology or Counselor Education and Supervision is strongly preferred. ABDs nearing completion of their degree will be considered based on the amount time remaining to completion. Prior teaching at the college level is preferred.
