Kiddiegarten School of Maple Grove (www.kiddiegarten.com) is currently looking to hire qualified Assistant Teachers.

Position Summary:

Kiddiegarten School of Maple Grove is hiring for a full-time assistant teacher position. Applicants recognize and appreciate the uniqueness of children and enjoy spending time with them. Must be knowledgeable in child development; caring, honest, respectful, responsible and enjoy spending time with young children. This position reports to the School Director.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalency
• Some DHS approved College credits
• At least 3 years’ experience at an accredited preschool or child care center or licensed family child care.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Work is primarily performed in the center environment, both indoors and outdoors. Child care centers are dynamic with a high level of activity. Work may also be performed during field trips as well as at community sites for promotional activities. Incumbent must be able to lift 40 pounds, stand up during most of the day, assume postures in low level positions that best allow physical and visual contact with children, bend to perform various tasks numerous times throughout the day, stoop, sit on the floor, can move from a seated position to a standing position promptly to respond to emergency situations, perform all activities with children, i.e. jump, dance, walk, run, etc. for extended periods of time. Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities to monitor the environment and children's well-being. You will need to be highly flexible and adaptable, able to engage in multiple tasks, able to respond quickly and appropriately to changing needs of children, staff, parents, and regulatory authorities.
