Overview

This position is responsible for partnering with A-dec leaders and customers to provide learning and support solutions to aid in the achievement of business goals and to strengthen the knowledge of employees and our dealer partners. Incumbents draw upon strategic learning and performance consultation expertise to design, develop, and implement learning solutions in various forms.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies learning objectives, determines teaching methodology, and independently conducts training classes on most company products.
  • Implements training programs using multiple learning methods, including on-the-job, classroom, virtual, and blended learning delivery, based on adult learning principles and business needs.
  • Uses instructional design system/s to assess needs and develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum while also maintaining existing learning programs. Partners with subject matter experts, Sr. Sales & Tech Trainers, and/or the supervisor to
    create curriculum content.
  • Executes learning projects, which include skill development facilitation, project plan execution, and communication.
  • Facilitates and/or attends training events including dinners and occasional evening or weekend events.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and maintains a solid track record of results while bringing teams to consensus, alignment, and action.
  • Maintains continual awareness of company marketing objectives and adult learning best practices while actively pursuing knowledge of cutting edge technologies in the learning and development field.

Qualifications

  • Generally requires completion of a Training & Development certificate program or Associate’s degree in a related discipline along with approximately two years of experience in training, learning development, and/or instructional design.
  • Must have knowledge of instructional principles, methods, techniques and standards, along with knowledge of current and emerging trends in learning design and development.
  • Must possess the ability to achieve challenging results with and through others while consistently establishing rapport and collaboration with leaders, team members, and partners.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work/projects and strong attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify appropriate solutions and deliver results as well as the ability to proactively anticipate customer needs.
  • Ability to approach work with an authentic, people-centered attitude and with a true interest in life-long learning and helping others thrive.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preference given to those with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication,
  • Organizational Development, Instructional Design, or similar concentration.
  • Knowledge of WBT authoring, graphics, sound and video editing software.
  • Familiarity with SCORM/AICC e-learning design standards and working knowledge of learning management systems.
  • Dental product and/or industry experience preferred.
