CDI Educator & Resource Specialist Job Opening

The CDI Educator and Resource Specialist is responsible for coordinating and facilitating secondary level CDI/Coding

audits and educational activities for the overall improvement of quality and completeness of clinical documentation,

coding outcomes and compliance. Performs assigned record review activities at the system level for identified

documentation, coding and education opportunities. Serves as a CDI resource to the CDI/Coding team, physician and

midlevel healthcare providers.

Description Minimum Required Experience

6 years clinical nursing experience or strong

inpatient coding background with at least 5

years acute inpatient coding experience. 3

years leadership and/or consulting

experience.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing

with current Louisiana Nursing license or

HIM degree (RHIA/RHIT) with CCS

certification.
