POSITION: Counselor – Student Development Center

QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree in counseling, clinical psychology or a related field. Applicant must be a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi. At least 3 years of recent counseling experience in a clinical setting is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities include:

Under the supervision of the Chief of Staff/Vice President for Student Services and the Director of the Student Development Center, the Counselor will provide counseling services to empower students in pursuit of their personal, academic and career goals. Responsibilities include:

• Provide personal counseling to students
• Maintain therapy records

• Conduct workshops on topics of interest for students, faculty and

• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health agency referrals

• Perform related duties as assigned
