SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Training
- Accountable to Quality Program Director.
- Plans and coordinates all group training activities which include on-site training, Saturday and weekday workshops with each other.
- Responds to requests from providers in developing a plan through which providers may enhance quality of services.
- Identifies days, sites, scheduling and disseminating information for training calendars with Quality Program Director.
- Delivers and makes available resources to providers as needed.
- Provides technical assistance to assist providers toward expansion and /or becoming licensed as needed.
- Contacts providers via phone and /or mail with reminders of time, date, and location of training events or any cancellation of training due to weather.
- Prepares newsletter information one month ahead of newsletter being published.
- Ensures training facilities are available for the time requested on the day of training.
- Assist the resource room clerk when there is an overflow of providers using the facility.
- Works as a team player when planning and preparing for trainings.
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Shows initiative in designing training courses and evaluates own training style to ensure the provider’s needs are met.
- Monthly training material (outline, ppt., activities) are prepared at least one week in advance of scheduled training session(s).
- A copy of training outline is turned into Program Director by the 9th of the month for approval.
II. Reports and Documentation
- Reports violation of Child Abuse and Neglect to DHR.
- Maintains folder of training participation and provides certificate of completion for providers participating in training session.
- Turns in all training files no later than one week after training session.
- Responsible for utilizing evaluation tool after every training effort.
- Keeps mileage log for all business travel in personal automobile.
III. Communication
- Disseminates all public information materials with approval of Quality Program Director as directed.
- Presents information in a clear and concise manner.
- Tone of voice and delivery method of communication is not condescending.
- Make copies, prepare bulk mailings, and prepare nametags, etc. as needed.
- Links unlicensed providers interested in becoming licensed with appropriate Department of Human Resources licensing staff.
IV. General
- Assumes any and all other duties, as they become necessary for the efficient operation of the agency as assigned by the Quality Program Director.
- Enforces and practices professional conduct in all matter relating to property, resources and /or agency services such as personal use of telephones, equipment, etc.
- Ensures that there shall be no discrimination against any applicant for or recipient of aid, benefits, or services on the basis of color, religion, sex, age, or national origin.
- Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and image within the local community; is always courteous and helpful to providers and staff members.
- Follows the Code of Conduct from TCRC Employee Manual.
- Shows ability to listen and understand another person’s point of view.
- Takes appropriate action by reporting to Quality Program Director any problems or concerns.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and determine priorities to accomplish tasks.
- BA/BS degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or other related field with a minimum of three years’ experience in the early childhood field.
- Preferred: MA/MS degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education with a minimum of three years’ experience in the early childhood field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to understand and follow policy and guidelines of CCC.
- Knowledgeable of adult training techniques and methods of delivery.
- Good attendance is required.
- Must agree to abide by TCR Policy and Procedures manual.
- Must maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families.
- Must clear State Child Abuse/Neglect registry check and criminal background check.
- Willingness to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
- Must have current driver’s license and proof of current automobile liability insurance of vehicle used in the performance of job.
