LICENSED/ASSOCIATE LICENSED COUNSELOR Job Opening

In 1969, Jonnie H. McLeod, MD, a Charlotte pediatrician, founded a counseling center where people could go for help. From that beginning, McLeod Center has grown to be the largest provider of comprehensive alcohol and drug treatment services in North Carolina. From initial assessment to supportive aftercare, McLeod Center is capable of responding to a full array of patient needs. Treatment for people with alcohol and drug problems is the total focus at McLeod Center. Our Mission is simple: to help people get well.

McLeod Center is accepting applications for full time Licensed or Associate Licensed clinicians for its Medication Assisted Treatment program located in Concord, NC. The clinician will work with adults who are opiate dependent. Upon privileging by McLeod Center, the clinician will perform all clinical functions for which qualified, including: clinical assessments, group and individual therapy, and treatment planning. All record keeping, including Medicaid paperwork, as required will be completed in a timely manner. Other activities may be required when in the best interest of McLeod Center. Other duties as assigned.

The clinic hours of operation are 5:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday – Friday for clients. Staff schedules will vary; full time employees work 37.5 hours/week. McLeod Center offers a friendly work environment and a competitive benefit package!


Functions:
Upon privileging by McLeod Center, performs all clinical functions for which qualified, including: clinical lectures, group therapy, assessments, family and aftercare counseling. All record keeping as required will be completed in a timely manner. Other activities may be required when in the best interest of McLeod Center. Responsible for completing Medicaid paperwork as regulations permit. Other duties as assigned.
