LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE - KINDERGARTEN TEACHER
POSITION: Long-Term Substitute Teacher - Kindergarten - L.E. Berger Elementary School

TERM: Beginning August 21, 2019 through approximately September 30, 2019

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the school principal, to facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of individual students and by creating a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ND Teaching License in elementary education with kindergarten endorsement or early childhood education: for additional information see: Teacher Licenses in North Dakota
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with students
  • Experience managing complex student behaviors preferred
  • Experience working in an elementary school setting preferred
SALARY: The current pay schedule for substitute teachers is $110.00 for a full day assignment. After substituting for 10 consecutive days in one teaching assignment, the daily rate increases to $116.00 per day for the next 20 days of substituting. After a teacher has substituted in one teaching assignment for 30 days, the daily rate is increased to $197.39. In addition, substitute teachers will receive a $130.00 bonus after teaching in the district for 15 fulltime days, which do not need to be consecutive.
  • The bonus payment will follow the next payday after the 15th full time day has been paid.
