Outreach Coodinator Job Opening

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Outreach Coordinator will facilitate health education, collaboration, connection and public relations (visibility) by engaging multiple sectors throughout our service area. The Outreach Coordinator will connect appropriate stakeholders within and between communities, support established connections, maximize existing and develop additional communication pathways.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with communication planning and implementation
• Develop and support a web-based communication platform
• Collect, format & disseminate health-related data
• Draft publication submissions and newsletters
• Oversee the Community Advisory Council
• Identify opportunities to integrate 5HF's strategies
• Maximize magazine advertising sales
• Assist coalitions in building sustainable interventions by connecting them to alternative sources of support
• Engage multiple sectors in wellness-related endeavors, including; business, faith-communities, educators (including libraries), service groups, non-profits and other sectors including interested citizens
• Engage health and academic centers of excellence in improving known determinants of health

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in health education, communications, marketing or related field
• Experience in health education, communications, writing, public relations, advocacy and other related practices
• Experience with communication technologies, including web platforms and social media
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Grace and humility
