Lead Teacher/Assistant Teacher – Stone Ridge Job Opening

A pioneer in the field of education for more than 46 years, Minnieland Academy provides educational experiences for infants through school age children. We are looking for highly enthusiastic individuals capable of providing consistent care and education, to ensure a stable and nurturing environment. Minnieland Academy at Stone Ridge is located at 24859 Serpentine Place, Aldie, VA 20105.

The right candidate will:

• Be committed to upholding standards for high quality child care at every level
• Meet the individual needs of the children, interact with all children to support play and learning
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans
• Participate in staff trainings and required teacher trainings
• Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with families
• Be able to communicate effectively with center director(s)
• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children
• Be able to lift 50 pounds
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of six (6) months experience working in a licensed child care facility required
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in ECE, Elementary Education or related; or
• Current and active enrollment in an accredited Associates or Bachelor’s degree program; or
• Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
• Ability to pass background and fingerprinting check
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
• Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program
