The Unit Therapist plans and implements the therapy program at Crossbridge. This therapist functions as a part of an interdisciplinary team and is responsible for assessments, groups, individual and family therapy and other therapeutic program offerings. In addition, this position may assume primary therapist responsibilities as may be directed by the Treatment Coordinator. Patient populations served range in age from 19 years (the minimum age for admission to the unit) through patients in the late stage of the life span.

Qualifications


  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field as a minimum.
  • Licensed in Alabama as an ALC or LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LICSW.
  • Able to cope with stressful and rapidly changing situations.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and customer centric composure in difficult or challenging situations.
  • Ability to work from broad directions and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
  • Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Licensed Counselor (ALC or LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Social Worker (LMSW or LICSW) required.
