Position Description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Credentialing Coordinator for its Ames location. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Processes credentialing and re-credentialing applications for all providers. Works closely with providers, insurance companies, and hospitals to ensure timely completion of applications. Assists Business Services with claim resolution related to credentialing issues. Coordinates process for providers to obtain malpractice insurance. Monitors status of state licenses, DEA, and state pharmacy for providers.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET
  • Associate degree in business administration, healthcare management, or related field preferred.

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience

  • Two years experience in an administrative physician practice, hospital, or insurance company environment.
  • Provider credentialing experience preferred.
