The Burlington Children's Space is seeking an Early Childhood Educator. A State License in Early Childhood Education is preferred, a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Human Development is required. This position includes health insurance, paid sick and vacation hours, and professional development opportunities. All staff have the opportunity to work closely with the Howard Center as part of a Therapeutic Child Care partnership, collaborate with Head Start and Early Head Start and participate in a new initiative connecting residents at the UVM Medical School with early childhood programs.
The Burlington Childrens Space, housed in the McClure Multi-Generational Center, is an economically and culturally diverse NAEYC accredited program offering early care and education for children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Programming is based on influences from Reggio Emilia, Italy, the interests and curiosities of the children, and the unique culture and resources of our local community. The Burlington Children's Space is dedicated to serving all populations and tuition is based on a sliding scale.
