Coordinates education materials to train new team members. Educates and trains new team members on completing accurate registrations, reading & interpreting insurance responses, charge estimator, POS notes/collections, policies, procedures, etc. as it relates to Patient Access. Responsible for training team members on MedHost, Online Insurance Verification systems, RevSpring, Cerner, Athena, Order Facilitator, Charge Estimator, & AHIQA and other systems as needed. Provides continued education to all Patient Access team members as information is updated. Responsible for AHIQA review and updates to rules. Reviews employee activity/scorecards in AHIQA for trends and the need for any focus area of education needed. Works with Patient Access management on areas or team members that may need coaching. Provide back up for registration as needed. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Provides assistance in registration and other duties of Admitting as well as leadership.

High school education or equivalent with specialized knowledge obtained through high school or up to six months vocational education required. One to three years prior medical experience required. Patient Access registration experience required. Billing and collection experience preferred.

Sedentary work performed in office setting. Requires constant hearing, speaking, vision and repetitive hand movement. Requires attention to detail despite frequent interruptions. Requires the ability to communicate effectively and give oral presentations.
