Working hours:

Monday – Friday; 8 am to 5 pm

This is a full-time, benefits eligible, 9 month position working during the academic year. It does not work fall, winter or spring breaks.

The University of Central Missouri Counseling Center requires a clinician who enjoys clinical work in a center that provides brief services to college students. This clinician will be capable of providing initial consultation, diagnostic interviewing, brief counseling or psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and management of psychiatric emergencies. They will like the challenge of assessing clinical presentations with an eye toward discrete target areas in which they can intervene in a short period of time. There is opportunity to provide group therapy and couples therapy. This professional must thrive in a team environment in which they will engage in the role of a team member, provide and receive consultation with their peers, and take pleasure in functioning as part of a coordinated unit. To succeed in this role, the clinician will be a strong generalist and may have an area of further interest or specialization.

Education & Formal Training Other Education & Formal Training

Master’s degree in counseling, social work or related field required.

Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Other - Titanium, Google docs Experience

Four (4) years experience providing clinical services; at least two (2) post-licensure experience required.

Experience working in a college or university counseling center strongly preferred.

Licensed to practice independently in the State of Missouri.

Licensed clinical social worker or licensed professional counselor in the State of Missouri.
