Assistant Director Job Opening

We currently have a wonderful Center Director that this position will work with on a daily basis.

Assistant Childcare Director this position is responsible for the daily planning, management and supervision of 10-20 staff, and 100+ children.

• The Child Care Asst. Director is also responsible for communicating with parents as needed.
• The position requires excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• An understanding and experience with Arizona childcare licensing requirements is a must.
• Experience with DHS,DES ,CACFP and Procare System Preferred.
• A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience.
• Ability to lead staff in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks or crisis situations effectively.
• Capacity to understand and manage center financial duties.
• Computer literacy.
• Experience working in an inclusive work environment and managing across differences.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills
• Willingness to work in a team environment.

• Qualifications
• At least 21 years of age
• At least 12 to 24 months of child care experience, a high school or high school equivalency diploma, and: .
• At least 30 actual training hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in early childhood, child development, or a closely-related field, and an additional 10 hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in the area of program administration, planning, development, or management; OR
• BA or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA, CCP, NAC credential & 6 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting
• Or: Associate's in ECE, Child Development or closely related field & 6 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting
• Or: Bachelor's in ECE, Child Dev. or closely related field & 3 months experience in a licensed preschool or childcare setting. Or

Idea candidate who has worked in a educational environment or closely related field with management experience. Prefer experience with AZDHS,DES and CACFP.
