Definition of Service:

Community Behavioral Health Therapy provides intensive clinical therapeutic services to children adolescents, and adults with identified mental health or substance abuse diagnosis. This service is designed to meet the specific mental health needs of the identified client as they relate to their diagnosis and can be provided in-home, in-office, in-school or other approved/appropriate community setting.

Outpatient therapy includes psychoeducational activities/interventions designed to assist the client in the reduction of dysfunction. Services are provided with client-centered and family-centered approaches and are delivered through intensive, time-limited, goal specific interventions.

The Team Leader is a self-motivated individual that provides supervision to a small team of counselors and/or paraprofessionals in the delivery of Intensive Family Intervention services. This position requires office and community work.

Responsibilities:

  • To deliver in-home or in-office services to clients. These services may be provided in the school setting but prior authorization is required from the parent/guardian and school officials.
  • To provide therapeutic interventions to the identified client in order to enhance and foster the client’s optimal functioning and interactions in the home and community.
  • Provide necessary Supervision and general oversight for team members.
  • To continually assess client needs, service availability and appropriateness.
  • To work cooperatively with treatment team members and the family in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the Person Centered Plan.
  • To provide the appropriate documentation for service delivery including treatment goals, progress notes and billing and submit said documentation as specified by Medicaid and Company standards.
  • To complete reauthorization request and updated treatment plan as needed for all assigned clients.
  • Be available for approximately 2-3 hours per week per client.
  • Conduct a weekly IFI team staffing/meeting and team supervision in the office.
  • Represent and support Royal Treatment’s customer service standards.
  • Office work assign to include but not limited to IFI assessment and treatment plan reviews, progress note reviews, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Mandatory: A Master’s degree in a Mental Health field (e.g.: Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other related field).
  • Mandatory: Licensure [Georgia Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Georgia Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), or Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).]
  • Strong in completing safety plans and discharge summaries.
  • Experienced in Sharenote BIRP note documentation and clinical documentation.
  • Must be organized, can complete tasks in a timely manner, and take direction well.
  • Must have reliable transportation, internet, computer, and telephone.
