The Montgomery College Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program is a collaborative effort between Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, and the Universities at Shady Grove to support students and provide a seamless path to a bachelor's degree. As a part of the ACES team, part-time faculty will teach financial literacy for the Mission Possible summer program from July 8, 2019- July 19, 2019. Class times will be Monday - Friday; 8:00am- 2:00pm. Part-time faculty will also have opportunities to teach SAT and ACT prep at participating high schools during the academic year.

Job Description

***Montgomery College accepts applications for Adjunct/Part-time Faculty on a continuous basis . Applications may be reviewed periodically based on the student enrollment needs. ***

  • The listing of a course in the schedule of classes as “TBA” does not constitute an assignment.
  • The hiring decision for part-time faculty involves an academic judgment and shall be determined at Management’s sole discretion.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Instruct high school students on the SAT and/or ACT test content and financial literacy curriculum.
  • Prepare students with strategies to take the SAT and/or ACT test.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Math.
  • Experience teaching test prep.
  • Experience woorking with high school students.
  • Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States and not require employer visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of a variety of individual learning styles.
