Purpose

The purpose of this position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and administration of the training process within the assigned plasma collection center.

Key Accountabilities

1.The Training Coordinator will work with Management, Quality Assurance personnel and Field Training Managers to address any necessary changes in the plasma center and help to develop a positive and effective training program.

2.Conducts hands-on training in the medical reception, donor floor and plasma processing areas.

3.Maintains employee training records according to company policy.

4.Coordinates new employee orientation and training plans.

5.Familiarizes employees with established training policies, procedures, and regulations.

6.Promotes company wide training consistency.

7.Keeps current with company’s new material, updates, and management tool releases (promote them within the plasma center).

8.Schedules trainees’ training periods consistent with center operations and training needs.

9.Delivers training related to SOP changes, new technology and processes to center staff.

10.Responsible for maintaining an able group of Designated Trainers at their location.

11.Maintains training calendar and cross-training analysis (if applicable).

12.Ensures training materials are available to trainees and staff.

13.Keeps trainees on task by monitoring progress and performing regular follow- up to complete training in a timely manner.

14.Other job-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

1.High school diploma or equivalent.

2.Minimum three years’ experience in a plasma collections center or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3.Must successfully complete the Training Coordinator Training Program.

4.Certified as competent in all area positions or the ability to complete training and competency assessments within 90 days of acquiring the position.

Physical and Mental Working Conditions

1.Frequently required to perform work while standing or walking.

2.Occasionally required to push/pull/lift 30 lbs.

3.Frequently exposed to blood borne pathogens and may be required to wear personal protective equipment.

4.Occasionally required to enter freezer with a temperature of -30°C or colder for short periods of time and may be required to wear personal protective equipment.

5.Required to communicate and interact with employees and donors.

6.May be required to work flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.

7.Occasionally required to travel overnight.
