Qualifications:

The therapist must have a Master’s degree in social work or counseling or a closely related field that qualifies them for certification and licensure needed for billing. Weekly supervision toward LCSW licensure is provided.

Experience - Individual and group therapy: 1 year

Job Description:

  • Gather all referral information needed for the admission of assigned cases.
  • Arrange and facilitate the intake process.
  • Provide on-going therapy services to children and assigned families.
  • Have necessary contact with assigned children, their families, guardian, and school personnel and keep adequate records concerning the children’s adjustment and their relations to their families as required by the standards published by the Kentucky Cabinet for Families and Children, Department of Social Services.
  • Facilitate intake, Children’s progress reviews and weekly treatment team meetings.
  • Keep the staff informed on a weekly basis through treatment team meetings regarding the respective child and the family situation and provide all pertinent written information.
  • Maintain case files and all records in collaboration with DCCH Case manager as required by the Cabinet for Families and Children, Department of Health and Family Services
  • Advocate for and secure all auxiliary services deemed necessary through consultation/evaluation for the benefit of the child.
  • Maintain monthly contact with children’s assigned volunteers.
  • Arrange and facilitate the discharge process.
