Assists the Transportation Coordinator in the administrative functions of the Transportation department, including training, briefings, and meetings within the transportation department and other areas. Assists in coordinating the efforts of the other administrative staff within the department.
MONDAY-FRIDAY, HOURS VARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accepts, handles and refers telephone calls for the department as required. This duty is performed daily, about 20% of the time.
2. Keeps transportation coordinator and transportation manager informed of calls and action taken. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
3. Assists with vehicle briefings, training and record keeping as needed. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
4. Assists with the calculation of mileage of billing of driver's reports. This duty is performed as needed, about 5% of the time.
5. Enters all pertinent records/information into computer. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.
6. Ensures required forms are completed, accurate and distributes to proper areas. This duty is performed daily, about 3% of the time.
7. Ensures Medicaid sheets are updated and placed in route boxes and that Medicaid billing is completed. This duty is performed weekly, about 3% of the time.
8. Completed requisitions and orders supplies as needed. This duty is performed weekly, about 1% of the time.
9. Supervises drivers. This duty is performed daily, about 30% of the time.
10. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
Equivalent to four years high school or GED, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess valid Arkansas Driver’s License, currently liability insurance and registration and be able to drive a Pathfinder vehicle.
