Position Summary:

The program coordinator manages sample coordination for a specific customer. In addition to sample coordination, the position contributes to the creation of processes as a supporting team member, initiates opportunties for process and tools to improve technical program management, and supports the team in maintaining program databases and dashboards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of pre-production orders
  • Update/maintain program databases and dashboards as needed
  • Support TPM on project specific requirements
  • Coordinate gate scheduling with TPMs for speakers and amplifiers
  • Interface with customer(2) and participate in customer meetings jointly with the Program Manager as required
  • Provide support to customer program management team on periodic special requests
  • Communicate cross functionally when needed to assure internal part requests are captured
  • Understand how production/prototype facilities operate, from receiving customer order to completion of product
  • Work closely with program management to ensure build readiness
  • Create purchase requisitions in SRM for tooling, direct parts, and indirect parts
  • Monitor and update GPIRS Prototype System on a daily basis


Basic Qualifications:

  • EET/MET – Associates Degree, or EE/ME Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project)
  • SAP procurement documents creation and processing
  • 3-5 years experience working in automotive OEM or Tier 1 role
  • Two-years knowledge of and proficiency with Ford prototype system (GPIRS)
  • Experience interfacing/negotiating with customer for parts delivery timing and recovery plans
  • Knowledge of SAP database and part inventory system
  • Ability to organize incoming customer and internal parts requirements and prioritize manufacturing plans and schedules accordingly

Required Physical Demands:
  • Able to travel to local customer locations frequently (30 mile radius)
  • Able to travel to local area Harman facilities (5 mile radius)
  • Manual dexterity
  • Physical effort: work requires handling lightweight materials or equipment (under 30 pounds) without mechanical assistance


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10 %.
  • Willingness to work in an office.
