Collaborates internally and externally partnering with Goodwill Industries Manasota's (GIM) Mission Development Services (MDS) to foster a learning organization wherein all team members are engaged in learning to overcome their employment and self-sufficiency barriers and reach their planned goals. Responsible for the integrity and compliance of all learning programs- provides (GIM) personal and professional development plans, and effects organizational improvements through the development of our Learning Management System- GoodwillU. Also, achieves mission certification goals through GoodwillWorks and GoodwillU.
Job Summary
Responsible for the leadership, development, coordination, reporting, and facilitation of all learning via our GoodwillU platform. Including quality assurance for GoodwillU campuses, the establishment of curricula, the sourcing of training delivery, and the development of a blended, experiential approach to learning. Analyzes, designs, develops, documents, implements, troubleshoots, and continually evaluates learning plans and applications, along with e-learning instructional design processes related to GoodwillU looking to make a positive impact in retention and increase revenue to support our mission.
Essential Functions
- Business Development/Quality Assurance
- Provides leadership and customer support for campus utilization within GoodwillU, including troubleshooting.
- Serves as first point of contact for all Learning Management System support needs. Investigates and resolves learning management system issues in the best interests of the team member and Goodwill, ensuring a motivated and productive workforce and learning plan integrity. Some of these issues include but are not limited to: grievances, tracking of training, accessibility, reporting etc.
- Keeps abreast of learning and development trends, technology, adult learning theory, and operates training programs at or above goals.
- Leads and manages vendor contracts, data reports, and systems utilized.
- Reviews and supports learning systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Partners with program users to enhance GU campus functionality and ensure material and programs are relevant to meet current needs of the organization.
- Manages multiple GoodwillU campuses ensures retention and supports acquisition of new partners.
- Integrity and Compliance of Learning Programs
- Helps drive operational performance improvement through utilization of our Learning Management System, GoodwillU.
- Maintains goals and metrics in regards to training hours and outcomes to optimize instructional value.
- Conducts learning trend analysis to identify opportunities and communicates with to applicable leadership teams.
- Continually improves GoodwillU as a learning center to meet organizational needs for efficient, effective, on time learning.
- Collects, evaluates, and analyzes data relating to training programs and their link to performance on the job for return on investment.
- Reports online training numbers on a monthly and recurring basis.
- Leads the imports, exports, and analyzes data from a variety of GIM and learning software including but not limited to GU, Lynda.com, Survey Monkey, and Brainshark as well as ADP
- Performs system maintenance including curriculum building, scheduling sessions, uploading courses and extracting report data.
- Answers and resolves technical issues related to the LMS system including documenting and responding to LMS helpdesk tickets.
- Consults with other Goodwill team members about learning issues related to training services and about the available training/resources within the organization.
- Supports the management of up time in system by being able to debug/troubleshoot software for curriculum development.
- Researches and reviews new software products for L&D.
- E-Learning Management - Design, Edit, Update
- Systems Administrator of GoodwillU and Lynda.com, authoring software, and other L&D software. Provides database design, maintenance, entry, and customer support for L&D department. Coordinate an ongoing review of existing security programs and initiate the development of new programs, as needed.
- Assists in developing training manuals, visual aids and online tutorials.
- Coordinates and leads editing of online curricula for GoodwillU campuses. Maintains version control system for all online curricula to ensure ready access to the most up to date curriculum.
- Manages consistency of training material to reflect current practices and brand.
- Upload courses, assessments and other materials to the LMS.
- Regular attendance at the job, requiring team work and interaction with others
- Presenter for GIM New Hire Orientation and Soft-skill training specific to digital literacy and LMS.
- Culture Keeper. Demonstrates and leads positive organizational culture development
- Participates in GIM ATL and Leadership Training Plan.
- Performs other duties as assigned by team leader.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of workflows, standard operating procedures, and business analysis techniques
- Ability to respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/customer issues or inquiries.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with Adobe Suite products, Microsoft Office Suite, e-learning development software, Photoshop, authoring tools (Articulate / Captivate), and other media design software.
- Demonstrates help desk knowledge and customer service for IT administration to setup of new systems, troubleshoot existing systems, and work on projects.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team leaders, team members, and customers to assess organizational training needs.
- Synthesize how different software applications work within our technology systems for interoperability.

Training & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Information Technology, Business, Instructional Design, Education, etc.) related discipline preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in related field preferred
Special Requirements
- Must be able to work occasional after-hours and weekends. This position may require travel to multiple locations on a daily basis.
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license, appropriate insurance coverage and a privately owned reliable means of transportation to travel throughout GIM territory to visit Goodwill Good Neighbor Centers and other locations on a regular and recurring basis.
