Associate Teacher - Omaha Early Learning Centers Job Opening

The Associate Teacher is the Assistant Teacher in the classroom and plays an essential role by providing educational, social, and emotional development for all students by following the program standards of Omaha Early Learning Centers, Early Head Start or Sixpence, Nebraska Department of Education, and NAEYC.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Two years early childhood experience in a licensed child care program

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of early childhood curriculum
• Ability to physically interact with children, including the ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work as part of a team by effectively communicating and problem solving
• Have current Infant/Toddler First Aid and CPR certification or the willingness to obtain

The Omaha Early Learning Centers, Inc., in partnership with Omaha Public Schools, is a community-based nonprofit organization which operates high-quality early learning programs for low-income children ages birth to three. Each of these modern facilities occupy their own building on an elementary school campus in one of Omaha’s high-need neighborhoods. The Early Learning Center at Skinner is on the campus of Skinner Magnet in north Omaha, and the Early Learning Center at Gateway is on the campus of Gateway Elementary in south Omaha.

Omaha Early Learning Centers is part of the Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative family that includes; Early Childhood Services, Educare Lincoln and both Educare Omaha locations.
