Position Description: ? GOAL: Gr. 9-12 Unit Recovery Teacher - English is responsible for overseeing the students in grades 9-12 participating in the Unit Recovery - APEX Learning Program in the English area.? The Unit Recovery Teacher will perform a variety of specialized and responsible tasks in support of the Unit Recovery Program.
These conditions will include supporting students academic needs while monitoring their progress.? It also includes maintaining exclusive records of student progress utilizing various assessments and progress monitoring tools within the Apex program.? Teachers are likewise responsible for establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with administrators, teachers, students and parents.? Middletowns Unit Recovery Program will run for 4 weeks, Tuesday-Thursday, from 8:30-11:30, with a double session on Wednesdays (8:30-11:30 and 6-9) Job Responsibilities: ?
1. Provide individualized support for students in need of support?? 2. Maintain records (including anecdotal) of progress of each student in APEX.??
3. Communicate student progress through written progress report for parents, administrators and future classroom teachers.? 4. Perform a wide variety of responsible and specialized tasks; Interpret and apply rules and regulations as appropriate.?
5. Other duties as assigned by Principal or Administration.?
