Language Facilitator to Support the Teachers of the Deaf Job Opening

One full-time opening for a Language Facilitator to support communication for Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing children within the mainstream setting. Duties include signing/voicing teacher/student communications, facilitating communication between teacher/student/peers, supporting academic content, providing instructional support, and management of amplification systems. Must be fluent in ASL. Would prefer candidate to have experience working with Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students with varying needs and modes of communication. Specialized training and willingness to participate in training in the use of assistive devices, amplification equipment, and language facilitator techniques in various forms of sign language/spoken language preferred. Some before and after school duties possible.
