Valor Recovery Center is a Joint Commission accredited, OHMHAS certified behavioral health facility with a mission of helping individuals recover from the disease of addiction. We are currently recruiting for full time Counselors to conduct group and individual counseling sessions throughout Valor’s various levels of care. JOB DESCRIPTION: Therapist

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Clinical Director

POSITION SUPERVISED: None or TBD

QUALIFICATIONS/CREDIENTIALS:

• Must possess a valid license (LPC/LSW) or higher from the state of Ohio
• Must possess a Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, behavioral science or equivalent field of study
• Must have knowledge of mental health and addictive disorders
• Must be able to work as a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass an FBI/BCI background check and drug screen
• Must have knowledge of level of care placement (ASAM) criteria

BASIC FUNCTION:

As a therapist at Valor Recovery Center, you will be asked to perform various duties within our levels of care.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Group Facilitation
• Individual and Family Counseling
• Assessments
• Treatment Planning
• Coordinate with Monitors and case managers for client needs, as well as other duties as needed and assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Performs other duties of the position and within the individual’s capabilities as assigned by his/her supervisor.
